Completed Roofing Work Across Plymouth & the South West
When you pay for a roof repair or a complete re-roof, most of the critical work happens up on the scaffold where you cannot easily see it from the driveway. Below are photographs taken directly on our own jobs across Plymouth, South Devon, and East Cornwall. You can see the stripped timber framing, the breathable membranes, the treated battens, and the finished slate, tile, and flat roof installations before the scaffolding comes down.
Proper Sub-Roof Preparation
A new roof is only as watertight as what sits underneath the tiles. Our photos show how we strip roofs in controlled stages, splice and sister rotted rafter feet, lay vapour-permeable membranes, and fix treated 25x50mm battens before a single slate or tile goes back on.
Weather-Tight Lead & Ridge Details
South West coastal gales quickly find weak junctions. You will see examples of Code 4 and Code 5 milled lead valleys, stepped chimney flashings chased neatly into brickwork joints, and mechanical dry ridge and hip systems that will not crack or wash out in winter rain.
Flat Roof Decking & Waterproofing
When replacing a flat extension or garage roof, we strip down to the joists where needed, lay fresh 18mm OSB3 tongue-and-groove decking with proper falls to prevent water ponding, and finish with multi-layer torch-on mineral felt, GRP fibreglass, or EPDM rubber.
